John Hesson
Funeral Director
John has been licensed as a funeral director since 2002. John is also a firefighter. He currently serves as team leader for the Missouri Fire Service Funeral Assistance Team which covers NW Missouri and the Kansas City area.
John is also very involved in the Boy Scouts receiving his Eagle Scout in 1991 and is a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. John is married to Beth and they have 2 sons, Preston and Alec.

Basil Lewis
Cemetery Superintendent
Basil started working for D.W. Newcomers in 1985 as part of the grounds crew and in 1994 became the foreman of the cemetery. "I have always enjoyed my job because it is different every day and a new challenge."

Kayla Lister
Administrative Assistant
Kayla is originally from Amarillo, Texas. She moved to Platte City, MO when she was 7 and later graduated from Platte County High School in 2000. She then attended the Metropolitan Community Colleges. Kayla started with Stewart in 2007 at Floral Hills in Kansas City, MO and transferred to White Chapel in March of 2008 as an Administrative Assistant. She has one son, Logan, and loves spending time with friends and family.

Courtney E. Phillips
Funeral Home Manager
Courtney graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, NE in 2003 with a BA in Journalism. After working at a local funeral home in Omaha for several months, she decided to pursue a career in Mortuary Science. She attended Kansas City Kansas Community College and obtained her Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. She served her apprenticeship in Olathe, Kansas and later became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.

Lynn Pridemore
Administrative Assistant
Lynn is originally from Hewett, WV. Her husband of 26 years was her high school sweetheart. They have moved from Virginia to Indiana and then Ohio. We moved from Ohio in 2009 and have been residing in Excelsior Springs and consider Missouri to be our home. Lynn has worked for many years in customer relations and administration. She enjoys working with others and takes great pride in helping to serve our families at White Chapel.

Kirby Pulliam
Funeral Director
Kirby currently resides in Blue Springs, Missouri with his wife and two daughters. He has been a part of White Chapel Funeral Home and Cemetery since July of 2010. A business major at Emporia State University, he has been in the Insurance and Funeral industries since 1995 serving in various roles. As a funeral director at White Chapel, Kirby has a passion for helping families and their loved ones through difficult times.

Annette Willett
Director of Family Service
Annette is originally from Fritch Texas. She worked in the medical industry prior to her coming to work at White Chapel in November of 1999. She enjoys working with families to help prearrange their funeral and cemetery needs, and also serves families who have lost a love one. One of the things she enjoys most about her job here at White Chapel is the relationships that she develops with the families she has worked with.
