Ben Davis
Cemetery Grounds Crew

Ben has been working as part of the grounds crew at White Chapel for 5 years. He grew up in Kansas City and lives in Smithville, MO. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and his hobbies include hunting, fishing and cooking.

Jason Gentzell
Funeral Director

Jason lives with his wife, Jennifer and three children, Jacqueline, Jackson and Jolie in Lathrop, Mo. He began working in the funeral profession in 1997 when he was only 18. He became licensed in 2005 and started working at White Chapel in March of 2013. He stays very active coaching and helping out with youth sports. He also is a member of the Lathrop Park Board and enjoys duck and goose hunting with his children.

Toivo Glidden
Family Service and Preplanning Specialist

Toivo has been helping families with their Pre-Arrangements since 2005. He is married to Karen, his high school sweetheart. They live in Gladstone, MO and have twin daughters, Kaitlyn and Nikayla. Toivo earned his BA at Texas Tech University in German Language and Literature. He is also an Eagle Scout.

John Hesson
Funeral Director

John has been licensed as a funeral director since 2002. John is also a firefighter. He currently serves as team leader for the Missouri Fire Service Funeral Assistance Team which covers NW Missouri and the Kansas City area. John is also very involved in the Boy Scouts receiving his Eagle Scout in 1991 and is a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. John is married to Beth and they have 2 sons, Preston and Alec.

Brandon Jessee
Cemetery Grounds Crew

Brandon has been with White Chapel for 5 years and enjoys his line of work very much. He lives in Blue Springs, MO with his wife and two children. In his free time he loves hunting and fishing.

Chad Lawrence
Cemetery Grounds Crew

Chad grew up in Smithville, MO. He is married with 2 children who he loves spending time with and who keep him very busy. Chad previously played with a band and enjoys music as well as mountain biking and getting together with family and friends in his free time.

Basil Lewis
Cemetery Superintendent

Basil started working for D.W. Newcomers in 1985 as part of the grounds crew and in 1994 became the foreman of the cemetery. He is very helpful assisting families in the cemetery and very much enjoys his job. "I have always enjoyed my work because it is different every day and most days bring a new challenge."

Kayla Lister
Administrative Assistant

Kayla is originally from Amarillo, Texas. She moved to Platte City, MO when she was 7 and graduated from Platte County High School in 2000. She later attended the Metropolitan Community Colleges. Kayla started with Stewart in 2007 at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery in Kansas City, MO and transferred to White Chapel in March of 2008. She has one son, Logan, and loves spending time with friends and family.

Courtney E. Phillips
Location Manager

Courtney graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, NE in 2003 with a BA in Journalism. After working at a local funeral home in Omaha for several months, she decided to pursue a career in Mortuary Science. She attended Kansas City Kansas Community College and obtained her Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. She served her apprenticeship and later became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Kansas and Missouri.

Virginia "Lynn" Pridemore
Administrative Assistant

Lynn is originally from Hewett, WV. Her husband of 26 years was her high school sweetheart. They have moved from Virginia to Indiana and then Ohio. They moved from Ohio in 2009 and now reside in Excelsior Springs, MO and consider Missouri to be home. Lynn has worked for many years in customer relations and administration. She enjoys working with others and takes great pride in helping to serve families at White Chapel.

Jeffrey "Kirby" Pulliam
Funeral Director

Kirby currently resides in Blue Springs, Missouri with his wife and two daughters. He has been a part of White Chapel Funeral Home and Cemetery since July of 2010. A business major at Emporia State University, he has been in the Insurance and Funeral industries since 1995 serving in various roles. As a funeral director at White Chapel, Kirby has a passion for helping families and their loved ones through difficult times.

Patsy Rosenbaugh
Family Service and Preplanning Specialist

Patsy has been a resident of the Kansas City area most of her life. She currently resides in the Northland and has two adult children. Since joining Stewart in 2013, Patsy’s primary focus has been on assisting families with their preplanning needs. In addition to her volunteer work, she loves spending time with her family, traveling and gardening.

Jessica Sayles
Family Service and Preplanning Specialist

Jessica graduated from North Kansas City High School, received her Associates Degree from Barton County Community College and later attended Kansas State University. Jessica, her husband Patrick and their 2 boys have spent the past decade in the Army and have recently returned home to Kansas City. Jessica’s desire to assist families in honoring their loved ones came from her own personal experiences with losing family members.

Stephen "Jake" Waldon
Manger of Community and Family Service

Jake started his career in the funeral and cemetery industry in 2010, joining White Chapel in the summer of 2012. He is a former US Army Ranger and did a tour overseas during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2002. He is a strong believer in prearrangement and has a strong compassion for families during their time of need. Away from the office, his interests include his family, his 4 legged furry kids, and sports.

Linda White
Family Service and Preplanning Specialist

Linda is a graduate of Oak Park High School and studied business at Maple Woods Community College. Most of her career has been spent in Human Resources and Property Management. After traumatic experiences with the passing of loved ones, she had the desire to help others through similar situations and is grateful for the opportunity to serve our families. She has worked at White chapel since January of 2013.

Annette Willett
Family Service and Preplanning Specialist

Annette is originally from Fritch Texas. She worked in the medical industry prior to her employment at White Chapel in November of 1999. She enjoys working with families to help prearrange their funeral and cemetery needs. One of the things she enjoys most about her job at White Chapel is the relationships that she develops with the families she has worked with. She spends all of her free time with her three children.

Brinkley Zavala
Administrative Processor

Brinkley is from Wichita, KS and moved to Kansas City in October of 2012. Her favorite things about living in Kansas City are watching Chiefs football and trying all the different BBQ places around the city. She attended Butler Community College in El Dorado, KS and is very interested in furthering her education in Mortuary Science and happy to be a part of the White Chapel family.
